builds with hay, Mr. Lunt with bricks, but only Bob builds his houses on
a firm foundation - following the wise plans from the Master Builder's
Handbook! Will the Little Piggies make the right choices when it comes
to building their houses - and their lives - on solid ground? Find out
in this parable that shows kids when they follow God's blueprints, then
can stand strong when the storms come!
Our Thoughts
VeggieTales are about lessons, teaching, learning about God, how God made each child special and the love that God gives. This video was no different than any others in that it displayed a positive message in an enjoyable, relate-able format. Life lessons through joy, laughs, entertainment and creativity. Isabella and I really enjoyed watching the vegetables as they learned about a different life through their mistakes. The message that resounded throughout the entire video was very clear and it really got me to thinking about the message I share with my children, how I relate it to them, and the importance of God and Faith in their lives. "A Lesson In Making Good Choices"... With a nursery rhyme spin-off, "Three Little Pigs", the VeggieTales, are builders in the Town of Cabbageville. The three different builders each make a series of good and bad building choices, of which the three little pigs choose from to build their homes. Sometimes quick and easy isn't always best. That is when the two parables come into play, the nursery rhyme with some of Jesus'. What stuck out most to me was the importance of a firm foundation. There's the firm foundation of a house and a firm foundation of a home/life. "God is our firm foundation. If we build our lives on His Word, we'll stand strong when troubles come along." I've learned that the more faith I put in the Lord, and the more I include him in my life, my struggles, my achievements, my accomplishments, the more blessed I am and feel in my life. Great message to share with our younger generation.
