Glass Nail File Review from Mont Bleu

I don't file my nails, I go to the salon and get my nails one on a bi-weekly basis. But when the opportunity arose to try something different, I couldn't pass it up. Mont Bleu is a company that offers a wide array of Design Glassware and they were offering me two glass nail files in exchange for my honest review, as well as the fringe benefit of receiving  Swarovski Crystallized Tweezers and a neat pair of earrings to boot.

From time to time, I have to maintain my nails in between visits to my ultimate favorite salon Complex Nails, but I find that I either end up tearing or ripping the nail, because the file isn't making it smooth enough., which is frustrating because I end up going to the salon with nails that look a hot mess. I can only imagine what the ladies think of me and how I treat my nails. So this time, hesitantly, I attempted to file my own nails with the glass nail files they sent me. Now of course they serve the same general purpose, which is to file and shape your nails, but they also have benefits and from what I noticed, they do it differently than your standard file.

I received two different nail files, both glass, but one was black and adorned with beautiful swarovski crystals, while the other one was a little shorter with a spritzing of color.
I loved the color selections, they were so beautiful. 

~* ~ So aside from they're visual beauty, I did my research and learned that glass nail files are permanently etched, so they'll never become worn, this will become the last nail file you'll need.

~* ~  Compared to the other versions of the nail file, glass nail files are said to be less "destructive" on your nails, providing less chipping, splitting, or peeling! That is a big yay in my book, because I've always had major problems with this, which is why I get them done professionally.

~* ~  Glass files are easier to clean, you can just wet them, wipe them and its like brand new all over again, which makes for an easier more effective sanitation process.

~* ~  The only true downside I see to glass nail files, is that if it is not handled or stored properly, they can break, leaving you to have to repurchase the file.

 I've been using the glass nail files for my nails in between salon visits, they have helped me to not rip off hang nails or snagged nails, I love using them on my daughter's gorgeous nails because they appear to be somewhat gentler on her nails and seeing as though growing nails is new to her, I'd like to keep them as gorgeous as possible. All in all, I rather enjoyed trying something different and learning the benefits of this alternative. I'm learning better nail care for my girls & I. That deserves a A+ in my book. So with this new insight, I'm thinking fast forward to Mother's Day, my mother has THE most gorgeous nails on the planet, people always compliment her and ask her if they're "fake", I'm thinking what a nice gift this will make for her, along with some other nails products, but not just for my mom, my sister, & my girlfriends too! No more trying to figure out what to get the women who have everything, I know they don't have these beauties!
