NYC New York Color

As a member of Influenster, you're given the opportunity to receive a sampling of products by earning badges and site participation. I joined influenster almost 2 months ago and qualified for their Holiday VoxBox. How exciting, since I was only about a month in when I qualified, I had no anticipation of qualifying, let alone receiving an awesome array of products for free in exchange for my honest opinions and review.

 
So while this VoxBox had some awesome products in it, I wanted to share with you a product from NYC New York Color, the LIQUID Lipshine in Nude York City.  The first thing you notice about the product of course is the Brand, the brand is largely recognizable on the tube of gloss, so there is no mistaking it for you other lipglosses. Every one knows that NYC/New York is known for their fabulous shopping opportunities and reminds you of everything "high fashion", this brand (though it comes straight from the city that never sleeps) doesn't come at that high fashion price. As NYC New York Color puts it "uptown style at a down-to-earth price'. What does that mean to me? It means that I am getting a high quality product for less than $5.00. $2.49 to be exact!. You can't beat that price at all!  The Liquid Lipshine comes in a 10 different shades ranging from nude, berry and fuchsias! But they're also widely available at any of your well known local retailers that we all know and love, Target, Walmart, CVS & Rite Aid just to name a few.

This product is a "beauty editor favorite", made from pure pigments creating a natural 3-D gloss effect, its also packed with Vitamin E for shine and moisture! It's said to be a non-sticky, super shiny and soft Lipshine. So now we put the product to the test, here's my live, unrehearsed, unrevised, video review... of the Nude York Color LIQUID Lipshine from NYC New York Color provided to me by Influenster:

I found this product to provide great results, my lips feel moisturized, it smells great, it isn't overly sticky (just barely, but I'm very picky), I've been wearing it for hours now and aside from my lips feeling great and looking great, I've forgotten that its there, which says a lot about the product, because though I've forgotten that its there, it IS still there! Based on my experience of the product, NYC New York Color LIQUID Lipshine is neither costly nor cheap in quality, the price doesn't match the value by no means.

Being a busy involved mom, my husband and I kind of get pushed back, it's like a long standing appointment that never gets rescheduled, but is often postponed. Before getting married, you'd always hear those complaints about the lack of "relations" between spouses and I remember saying, when I get married, I'm not going to have that problem! But life has a way of picking you up and carrying you away. Lets keep it real and be honest with ourselves, we all tend to let ourselves go and forget what our relationships used to be like when we were just getting to know one another, it was fun, you always looked your best and always wanted to impress, so this holiday season, I'm doing just that! Here's to Better Mornings with the Philips Wake-up Light

I'm just not a morning person. I hate getting up, consider me the bear, and I'll just hibernate. But being the fantastic mother that I am, I have to get up early in the morning to drive my daughter to school. I wake up groggy, exhausted, and just so reluctant and resistant. As a member of SheSpeaks, I was invited to the try the Philips Wake-up Light, and Official Light Therapy Product of the National Sleep Foundation, I was not only intrigued, I was excited, is there a chance that I'd be able to wake up without feeling restless and exhausted?!
When I finally received my package, I wasn't even expecting it, so it was a great surprise!!!

I really didn't know what to expect, I just knew that I was really excited to be able to try it out. So when I received it, I quickly started doing research about the product, reading reviews, and of course clearing the clutter so set up my new "Alarm Clock". There is nothing worse than being startled out of your sleep and being that I am a light sleeper, this is very frustrating, the smallest simplest action as getting out of bed, can disturb my sleep sometimes!
After I cleared the space for it, I unpacked it and began "setting it up" aside from learning how to go through the FM stations, everything was easy to figure out without reviewing directions, I hate reading directions!
Key Points, you can set the level of lighting you wish it reach when waking you up in the morning, and you can use it as a "table lamp" ( LOVE THAT), I don't always go to bed when my husband does and I hate leaving the light on, because I always feel like I'm disturbing his sleep, then I use the bathroom light, but you mean I have to get out of bed to go to bed? Yuck! So this was great! There are three different ways to wake up in addition to the light, bird chirping, FM radio (which is cool) and smooth tunes of like drums, can't fully explain, but to say the very least, I chose this option!

One morning I woke up startled without any reason, but noticed that the Philips Wake-up Light was well at work, it was "quiet", peaceful and I really enjoyed watching it as the light was dimmed, about 30 minutes before I set my alarm to go off, and as the time went on, it gradually grew brighter (mimicking the rising of the sun) and then the lovely sounds of music began to chime in with the light, what a beautiful sight to see.  There is one downside to this beautiful creation, I didn't notice it at first, but it was quickly brought to my attention and I had to see it for myself, there is not battery back up option, so if your power goes out, then you're out of luck! I don't know just how I feel about that! Good thing I have other wake-up alternatives though!

All in all, I'd say that I'm pretty happy with my new "Calm Clock". It's definitely NOT alarming, it's a very soothing, relaxing, calm way to wake up, just as dear mother nature intended! I love the gradual glow, I love the additional helpful features, so it's not just another useless piece of hot mess hanging around, it has many functions and additional features that make this an all around fantastic item to have.
