have you seen the Kenmore Elite Stand Mixer giveaway on Dear Crissy this week?
Dear Crissy said that if I sincerely blogged about this giveaway she's hosting, that I could receive not 1, not 2, not 5, not even 10, but 20 additional entries to her giveaway of the Kenmore Elite 5-Quart mixer! How could I turn down that opportunity to talk about something so absolutely exciting and shoot life changing. I envision the possibilities of how this spectacular mixer could change my world.
So I'm not a huge baker, but I love to cook and try new things and bake occasionally and honestly, most times, the traditional whisk just doesn't cut it. I want to try bigger and better things and who says that I have to use this mixer only to bake anyway. I imagine that I could make my meatloaf mixture in it too.
I'm just saying, that the possibilities are endless and I'm so excited that Dear Crissy (amongst others) constantly give me the opportunity to try new things, but its not just about the opportunities, these women that I've come across that dedicate time from their lives to blog, they inspire me to try new things even if I don't win the contests/giveaways.
I cannot wait to see what Dear Crissy shares with us next, I love her daily wordless photos.
You should definitely check out her blog and even her giveaways at: www.dearcrissy.com

Changes, Improvements, me
First and foremost one of my most treasured people in my life has been making personal strides to becoming a better person, parent and spouse. I'm impressed, and to make an impression upon me, well it doesn't happen very often. People are generally better about pointing out the flaws of others, very seldom do they turn the finger inward. I'd have to say that I am a bit inspired. Why? Because I think this person is pretty fantastic already, and when they told me their goals/plans/ideas, well wow, there is ALWAYS room for improvement, I get it now.
Since our discussion, I've taken a small step in the direction of being better for myself, I started being more proactive with my school work, I'm more of a crammer and I get it done when it is the final hour and then I stay up, I get grumpy and want to say the hell with it. But not this week! One week can make all the difference, I mean just because I am busy, doesn't mean I can't get the job done.
I'm currently enrolled in a Public Speaking course this semester, I chose this challenge (and it really is a challenge on so many different levels)because it was not just a degree requirement/fulfillment, but because it's a fear of mine and if this person I mentioned earlier can take such profound steps to do things that they are reluctant or hesitant to explore, then I should be able to do it as well.
So this is how we're supporting one another.
I learned that I have the knack for writing all over again, and even though I am hesitant about Public Speaking (both professional or casual), and people understand me and they like and hear what I have to say, can I say that it feels good?!

2011 Month 2
I've done bigger and better things so far this year than I imagined, when it comes to purging and organizing. My husband has been a great asset and tool in helping me do what so needs(ed) to be done!
My living room is clear, my desk is clear, EVEN my closet has been purged. I gathered 3 bags of clothes for donations! Can you imagine that? Now my closet looks sad but then again, but the sadness links to my biggest goal of all, I don't want to buy new clothes in this size.
(That blog will come another day, not today, because I'm very disappointed with myself in that department at this stage of the year!)
It is week one of school for me and it is now Saturday and I haven't even done the homework, shame on me, but now that I have desk space and access (with no children and husband hogging the computer) to the computer I'm hoping to get it done RIGHT NOW! If I don't I know me, I'll stay behind.
With that being said, I should get to it, but thank you for reading.
Goal 2: Baby Proof and organize shelves and complete "minor repairs"....
Wish me luck, until next time....
